Interview Advice
You will never know what you will be asked in your interview however we believe the major thing they will want to know is why you want to work abroad? Reasons will certainly vary however developing your career experience and skills, along with the life style opportunity for you and your family could be considered. .
They also will want to know what you can offer their company.
Reasons you might include:
- Extensive experience as a --------------- Engineer, where you have been exposed to production, planning ...activities at a graduate... senior leadership level etc
- A pleasant and friendly personality where you get along very well with others and are able to motivate them to achieve a high standard of results and to get the task at hand completed.
- You could also see yourself as a great mentor to younger professionals (not only engineers)
- Your computer literacy where you have experience with packages.
- Ability to identify improvements at work and to solve problems (have examples as they will want to know of some)
- Previous experience supervising other people and co-ordinating work programs. (They may ask how you deal with people who are not working well in the team. Do you yell and scream at them or sit down and talk to them as it maybe issues at home that could be affecting their work)
- Strong safety focus
They also may want to know, how do you assess the work that has been given to you and your knowledge of safety in the workplace, how do you handle conflict with others in the workplace.
Also what initiatives have you implemented in the workplace that has seen a benefit to the company?
This is just a guide, but if you give some thought to these issues you will be far more prepared.
